John H. Sapp

John H. Sapp 1930-2010 - CANTONMENT, FL - John H. Sapp, age 80, died peacefully in his sleep on October 13, 2010. He was born in Toomsboro, Georgia in 1930. He retired as a Chief Petty Officer from the United States Navy after 20 years, which included tours of duty in WWII and the Korean Conflict. He served on several submarines. -Mr. Sapp was preceded in death by his loving wife, Virginia F. Sapp (Ginny Lou), his beloved son, Greg Sapp and his stepdaughter, Linda K. Galos. -Survivors include his daughter, Cheryl (Angelina) Smith; stepchildren, Jerry Wayne Hutchings, Ruthy Lambert, Edie Hall; and his nephew that he loved as a son, Tommy (Buddy) Sapp; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces, nephews and many other family and friends. -Funeral services will be held at 10A.M. on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North-Cantonment. Interment will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery. -Faith Chapel Funeral Home North, 1000 Highway 29 South, Cantonment is in charge of arrangements.
