Vallecorsa, 62, of Industry, passed away Sunday, Feb. 8, 2009, in his
home, following a ourageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Born Jan. 12, 1947, in Rochester, he was a son of Charles and Nancy (Kaletta) Vallecorsa of Brighton Township.
Vallecorsa retired as a shift manager from First Energy (formerly
Duquesne Light) with 34 years of service. He was Catholic by faith and
was a U.S. Navy veteran of six years, having served in the Vietnam War
aboard the nuclear submarine USS Snook. Ron was an extreme Steelers fan
and Corvette aficionado. He was a member of the Aliquippa VFW and was a
former part time realtor associate for Dishler, Zarnich and Henry
Realtors in Monaca, PA.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his fiancee, Mary Anne Hardy, Aliquippa; a brother, Charles Vallecorsa Jr., Brighton Township; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Linda and Thomas Yankello, and Cindy Vallecorsa, all of Brighton Township, and Pamela and John Phillips, Cranberry Township; nieces and nephews, Thomas Yankello, Mark and Nina Yankello, and Nicholas and Alexis Phillips; a great niece, Ashley Yankello, and loving members of the Hardy and Ross families, and special friends, Bob and Linda Doughty, Potter Township.
Friends will be received today from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the TATALOVICH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, INC., CENTER TOWNSHIP, 3475 Brodhead Road, Monaca, where a blessing service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m.
Interment will follow at 12 p.m. in Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery, where the Beaver County Special Unit will conduct military honors.
